Because Bricks was founded by Sidney, a high school student, in Los Angeles, California. As Sidney moved beyond LEGO into the fields of robotics and CAD modeling, he became aware that his early experiences with LEGO gave him a head start in more advanced STEM fields.

I founded Because Bricks to give children early STEM opportunities like I had. As a young child, I loved playing with LEGO. Nothing made me happier than spending all day in my room building.
I was lucky my parents and relatives fed my LEGO fascination with an amazing array of kits and resources. Now, I want to help others get this same type of experience.
Although it is bittersweet departing with a LEGO collection, it feels good to know that the bricks are going to provide joy and learning to the next generation.
