We believe every child deserves the chance to explore, create, and learn through play. Sadly, many kids don't have access to the educational resources that spark their imagination and problem-solving skills. That’s where we come in.
LEGO is amazing. Unlike any other toy, LEGO lasts for generations and never loses its play value. With LEGO, the possibilities are endless—you don’t need a set or instructions, just a bit of imagination, and kids have plenty of that! LEGO gives kids an early taste of STEM, teaching them about engineering, physics, design, and aesthetics. There's nothing you can't build with LEGO, and when kids start building with it, they’re building their future.
However, high-quality LEGO can be expensive and hard to access for some communities. Plus, did you know that most thrift stores don't accept LEGO donations? That’s where Because Bricks steps in. We make sure unwanted LEGO gets into the hands of kids who need and want them, ensuring every brick finds a new home full of creativity and fun.
We take great care in packaging and distributing LEGO bricks to Title 1 schools. After we receive a LEGO donation, we thoroughly clean and sort each piece. Then we assemble the bricks into packages (we call them Because Boxes), catering our selection to the specific requests of teachers.
Each Because Box contains approximately 5 pounds of LEGOs, including 1 base plate.

"Thank you so much for the donation of Legos. My 3-5 grade students had so much fun building with them this year, during their free time. I also used Legos with the students in their math lessons. Allowing them to see numbers through the bricks. Without Because Bricks that possibility would not have happened. Thank you again for the donation, and the students are excited they will be back next year to be used and played with."
"Thank you, Because Bricks! The LEGO bricks have been a fantastic addition to our classroom. They’ve helped bring creativity to our small group projects and made learning fractions more engaging and hands-on. Our students love using them for both artistic expression and math learning. We truly appreciate your support!"
"Thanks to Because Bricks, my students had a calming and constructive start to their school days this school year. With the access to various non-electonic STEM Bins, including Legos, my students' daily arrival routine consisted of an SEL check-in, ensuring they had necessary supplies for the day, and then moving on to low demand choice activities. I enjoyed seeing my students' Lego creations and watching them problem solve through build challenges."
With only a few months in operation, we have reached the following milestones!
